Marie Salman Wahburn of Delta, CO., left this life at 87 on December 22, 2025. Born on February 25, 1938, to the late Sybil Jewett Salman and Kenneth Allen Salman Sr. in Oakland, CA. She lived a full life with a passion for fashion and Welsh Corgis. She majored in merchandising at the University of Missouri. She was driven and successful. First as a buyer with Stix, Baer and Fuller and followed by being the first woman Store Manager for the Denver Dry Goods Company, as well as the first President of the Southglenn Merchants Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ball Washburn; and sisters, Joan Rhodes and Ruth Sprague. Marie is survived by a sister, Barbara Kelley; and a brother, Kenneth Salman Jr.
