Jess and Debbie both mean so much to me. He will be sorely missed.

Jess was a great fraternity brother. I knew him for far to short a time. I remember running in to him in his office on campus after many years away from campus. I never knew that he shared my passion for fishing. We talked about getting together someday to do some trout fishing. I now look forward to meeting up again with him. I am sure he knows all the best places to fish in heaven.

I read about Jess's passing in the Beacon Journal,
And that he enjoyed piroghies for his last meal.
He was a fine person. I believe I met him during
Freshman orientation in the fall of 1970. I don't
recall in what capacity, but I imagine he was in-
strumental in helping me adjust to life on campus.
I didn't recall his interest in archaeology, which I
loved also. Please extend my deepest condolences to his wife and other family members,
Rest in peace Jess.

Life is best lived with heaping doses of courage, dignity and grace. The same can be said about one's approach to death. You exemplified the best of both. God rest you well.
