Raymond Duran Obituary
Visitation was Thursday, May 30, in the afternoon at 4 o'clock at Baca's Funeral Chapel with the prayer vigil to follow at 6 o'clock led by Carlos Provencio. Mass of the Christian Burial was Friday morning at 10 o'clock at Saint Ann's Catholic Church, with Fr. Enrique Lopez Escalera officiating. Cremation will follow at Baca's Mimbres Crematory. Graveside service will be in the morning at 10 o'clock, June 1, 2013 at Mountain View Cemetery with Father Ronald Machado officiating.
"Rayme" as he was affectionately known was born February 10, 1961 to "Libby" Reyes and Rigoberto Duran in Elko, Nevada. Raymond was a electrician at Wipp in Eastern New Mexico. He was also a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his humor.
Raymond is survived by his daughter, Miranda Renee Woods of Las Cruces; two brothers, Roberto (Diane) Duran of Las Cruces and Gilbert Duran of Deming. "Rayme's" companion was Velma Provencio of Las Cruces.
He is preceded in death by his parents and infant son Gabriel.
Pallbearers will be Chris Pena, Angelo Gutierrez, Joe Baca, P.J. Loya, Michael Loya and Jerry Burma.

My Dear Friend Rayme, Although I didn't get to say "good-bye" or "hasta luego amigo" or one last conversation.... I thank God for calling you Home 'quick', what a blessing.
