I always loved hanging out with Butch, and the guys, at bowling. He was a funny and nice man...I'm proud to have known him, and I'm sure he's proud of his kids. Hi and hugs to the family.

Wait until it's dark. Lay down in an open field and focus on the point where the earth meets the sky. Sooner or later you will see a silhouette. The silhouette will be unmistakable. He will be there...napping probably...but he will be there

BUTCH, In the few times I got to visit with you at holidays and working at your and Kathy's house, you always were a pleasure to be around. Your great humor and outlook on life were a blessing to all . Wishing peace to Kathy, family and friends.

Butch,
Words can't explain the deep sorrow and loss I have in my heart. Loosing a great friend and family member is a small part of what I have lost. We had 45 years of great adventures together in the outdoors. We hunted woodchucks, fished for walleyes at night on Conesus Lake and fished the wilderness of Quebec, Canada. We have hunted ducks and deer together, fished the great lakes for perch, bass, salmon pike and trout. In the far north, we hunted for bear and whenever we had a chance we hunted pheasant and rabbits. We always found time for each other regardless of our busy lives.
I was always amazed at the positive attitude you had in life in spite of the medical problems that challenged you for so long. You were and will remain an inspiration to me. I will never forget the times we spent together in the outdoors. It wasn't about the taking of fish or game; it was hearing your stories of the past and your laughter.
I will miss your messages on my phone that said “Ed, Butch – Give me a call” Some day I hope I can answer that call again.
I will never forget the day in Canada together. The week was full of sunlight and fish. All you could think of was Kathy. You told me that 40 years ago Eddie I am going to marry that girl. Butch that was the greatest catch of your life. Kathy could not have been a better wife to you. The great outdoors has lost a fine outdoorsman.
May love and peace surround you in eternity? You will always be missed.
Love your outdoor companion and cousin.
Ed

Uncle Butch, U are going to be missed very much. Although I did not get to see you as much as I would have liked, I always looked forward to our visits to NY and going to your house. I enjoyed sitting around your table listening to all the stories of our family. You had such a huge heart and anyone who knew you is blessed. Please take care of my big brother Tim up there and give him big huggs and kisses for me. I love you very much. I will see you again one day. xoxo

Dear dad, I would give anything to have you in my life for just 1 more day. I love you and miss u more than words could ever say! Mom and aunt Mary helped turned what i at first thought of as traumatic and turned it into a memory i will cherish forever... I was the last person who saw your eyes open and looking at ur one and only daughter... Me!!! I will forever be greatful that they helped me realize what a blessing this is!!! Although I'll miss you every day, I'm glad God heard me pray, Although you couldn't stay, I'm grateful the Lord took your pain away.I will remember you, and I will hold you close there in my heart, and never let you go. And there'll be days when I will cry, but I wont say goodbye. [RIP]

Kathy and family, I am truly saddened by this news. I have many good memories of Butch from Kodak and the beagle club. I remember a great day of fishing at your cottage and eating his famous potato salad. He called me just before I moved to SD and threatened to come out pheasant hunting, wish he would have.

I am forever grateful for the 15 years I had with my beagle from Butch's conscientious breeding program. Each time I would chat with Butch it was all about our beagles! A fellow kinship that completed and embraced my years with one of his pups. Both Butch and his pup had hearts of gold!

Dad...There has been at least a thousand times I've needed you, and a thousand more I've cried. If love alone could have saved you; You would have never died!!! Although I'll miss you every day, I'm glad God heard me pray, Although you couldn't stay, I'm grateful the Lord took your pain away. I am old enough to understand that with life there is death and it will touch you many times during your lifetime. But the kid in me doesn't want to accept it. I love you dad!!! Love, your lil girl
