Alan Holcomb Obituary
Greece - Passed away peacefully at home August 2, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease and dementia. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia Seeley Holcomb. Alan was the doting father of Scott (Lori) Holcomb, Jerry (Mary Ann) Holcomb, and Amy (Steve) Tolle. Alan was the adoring grandfather of Jessica Holcomb, Glenn Tolle, Emily Holcomb, Heidi Holcomb, Julia Holcomb, Heather Holcomb and Sabrina Tolle. He always referred to his grandchildren as his "lucky seven". They were the joys of his life. Alan is also survived by brother-in-law Andy Reid, many nieces, nephews and other special extended family members. Alan is predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Hester Holcomb; his in-laws Gerald and Ruth Seeley; brother Damon Holcomb; sisters Mary Reid and Judy Siple; and nephew Daniel Reid.
Alan was a master carpenter and Kodak employee for 35 years. He was a Korea War Veteran. Alan was fondly known as "the mayor of Koda Vista" by his neighbors.
Services will be held privately. A celebration of Alan's life will be held at a future time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.

I will always remember Mr. Holcomb as the Miner that he portrayed on Jerry's birthdays. Every year he would have to "leave" the party to get some cider and then he would change into his Miner costume and sneak back into the house. On those same birthdays he would show old "shorts" of Charlie Chaplin. He was very passionate about wood work and I remember/kept some of the projects that he had us little Cub Scouts work on.
The Koda- Vista neighborhood was a great place to raise a family because of Mr. Holcomb and many others.
The pain that Mrs. Holcomb, Scott, Jerry, Amy and all the Spouses and Grandchildren are experiencing is real and it hurts. The pain will go away, but the Happy memory of Mr. Holcomb will Live Forever.
