Anne (Beach) Brown
Anne (Beach) Brown died peacefully surrounded by family on August 4, 2021. Born in Rochester in 1935, Anne lived all her life in the Rochester area, most recently in Mendon, NY and at Cloverwood in Pittsford, NY. She also had many friends at their lake house in Georgeville, Quebec. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Marcia Beach and her sister, Joan Frenz. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gordon Brown, Jr., her children, Lindsay (Louise Howlett) Brown of Dublin, NH and Susan (Bill) Allison of Mendon, NY, and her grandchildren Forrest and Malcolm Brown, and Bennett, Caroline and Collin Allison.
Known affectionately as "Mimi" to her family, Anne had a love for her pets and all animals, and was always ready to laugh at herself and enjoy the unpredictability of life. She was admired for her energy, her strength of personality and her determined spirit. She taught in the Rochester City School district for 25 years serving many special needs and at-risk children, sharing her wisdom, humor and love with generations of students. She was happiest when family would gather together, and she had many friends in the final years of her life at the Cloverwood community. She will be missed by all.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Aug. 21st, 12PM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 25 Westminster Rd. Rochester, 14607. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lollypop Farm (99 Victor Rd, Fairport, NY 14450) or to Benicasa (3880 Rush Mendon Road Mendon, NY 14506).
