Anthony Kaforey Obituary
Pittsburgh, PA - Beloved son, brother, uncle and cousin, Anthony W. Kaforey (Tony), 66, left us unexpectedly on June 20, 2018. He was born July 21, 1951, to the late Anthony and Elizabeth Myers Kaforey. He graduated from Hilton High School but lived in Pittsburgh most of his life. Tony worked in sales for several retail electronics stores, including Kelly and Cohen, Naum Brothers, and Sears. He loved sports, his favorites being the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Pirates, but especially the Penguins. Those involved with his fantasy football league(s) will miss his colorful weekly commentary that he scripted. Everyone he loved had a special nickname. No one knew more about movie and TV trivia and he was an avid collector of his favorites.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Charlene Kaforey; and brother-in-law, Frank Calabrese. He is survived and will be so missed, by his siblings, Rodney (Nancy Miller) Kaforey, Raymond (Lisa) Kaforey, Robert (Jean) Kaforey and Terri (Thomas Comery) Calabrese, all of Rochester, N.Y., and Randall (Marilyn) Kaforey, of San Diego, Calif.; aunts, Donna (Al) Dirani, Geraldine Kaforey, and Anne Kaforey; and many adored nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.
A special memorial service and interment will be held in August but will be private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to The Mario Lemieux Foundation in Tony's name. (https://www.mariolemieux.org/)
