"Bernie" "Bloomer"
Rochester: Passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June, 18th 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald & Helen Dow; step-mother, Geraldine Dow; sister, Mary Ann Matthews, step-brother, Rodney Cooper. Survived by children, Natalie Dow, Nicole (Brian) Diehl, Jimmy Paulino; 2 grandchildren; siblings, David (Diane) Dow, Barbara Jo (Milton) Sabol, Jeanne Crawford, Donald (Sheryl) Dow, Robert (Edye) Dow, Dale Cooper, Howard Cooper, Wanda Cooper, Mark (Dee) Cooper, Matthew (Mary) Cooper; many nieces, nephews, and loving friend, Kitty Callaghan.
Bernie was a decorated Vietnam Army Veteran, avid golf fan, and long time employee of Flint Ink.
Family and friends may call on Monday, June 23rd from 4-8 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday June, 24th at St. Josephs Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or to Lifetime Care, c/o Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 3111 Winton Road S., Rochester, NY 14623.
