To the Barton and Roger family, I was saddened to learn of the passing of Betty (aka Pappy) I met the Roger family when they lived on Catherine St. I was in my early teens when I became friends with Jackie and pappy. My second home was the Roger house., Mrs. Roger was like a second mother to me. I saw Pappy last year when I came to Lula wake, It had been years since I last saw Pappy and It grieve my heart to see how much her health had declined. She was a beautiful wife, mother and friend. It's good to know she is now in heaven with husband Sam and sisters, Lula and Jackie whom she loved very much. I would like to say to the family, look unto the hill from where your help comes from, your help come from the lord who made the heaven and earth. I look forward to a memorial service where fond memories of Pappy will be shared. Praying for all.... R.I.P Betty.
