Catherine Bartholomew Obituary
Fairport: Age 88. Catherine passed away very peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2008. She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years, John R. Bartholomew; daughter, Rev. Linda A. Libby; son-in-law, Alan D. Shirley. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie J. Shirley of Greece; son-in-law, Roy W. Libby of Avon; grandchildren, Scott A. Shirley of Greece, Dr. Bonnie L. Libby of Leesburg, VA., and Timothy R. Libby of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law, Betty J. Lennon of Deland, FL; nieces and nephews.
Additionally, Catherine is survived by her extended family of caregivers on the second floor of Aaron Manor. The family is especially grateful to Marie Wilson and her outstanding staff who cared for Catherine in a loving and compassionate manner. The family is also appreciative of the wonderful care provided to her by Lifetime Care.
Catherine will be fondly remembered for her devotion to family, sense of humor, love of classical music, loyalty to the New York Yankees and her fear of frogs.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11 AM in the chapel of the Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined. My name is Eileen,am a nurse, and
worked on Catherine's unit at Aaron
Manor.
Catherine was one of my favorites.
I always enjoyed spending time
chatting with her during my evening
shift.She was a delightful woman.
On special occasions, I'd walk into Catherine's room wearing one of my "special hats"
We'd have a few giggles over it.
I will always have fond memories
of Catherine, and I am so sorry
for your loss,

I have very fond memories of Mrs. B growing up with Bonnie and Linda up on the hill in Vestal. We had it all back then.
