David Brust Obituary
Greece - Age 84, surrounded by his family at home in Greece, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Brownell); sons, Thomas (Catherine), Daniel (Barbara), David (Marian); grandchildren, Rachael, Nicholas, Jacqueline, Daniel, Haley, Ethan, Miranda and Luke; and great-granddaughter, Madeline.
He was born in Medina and grew up in Waterport, NY. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in chemistry from the University of Buffalo, and his Ph D in organic chemistry from the University of Rochester. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and the American Chemical Society with over 60 years of service.
He worked in Research & Development at Eastman Kodak for 30 years where he was a distinguished inventor with numerous patents for imaging materials and devices. He was a lead contributor for many highly successful imaging products.
David loved the world of agriculture and farming due to his close ties to his grandfather and grandmother who were prolific farmers. He spent many summers visiting and working with his grandparents and cousins on the farm. David had a strong work ethic which he passed on to his sons and their families. He especially loved fishing and baseball, sports he shared with his sons. He was an avid fan of the University of Buffalo Bulls football team, attending as many games as possible.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately for the family.

I worked with Dave on a number of project at EK. Dave was a very diligent worker, but he was always very friendly and easy to get along with. When I think back on a number of those projects, I see Dave's face very clearly. I'll miss Dave very much.

Dear Bev, I am saddened by the loss of David, your loving husband and friend. I pray that you will find comfort and peace knowing that he is heaven. There he is pain free. I read a lot about heaven after the loss of Bill. I seemed to be more at peace knowing more about where Bill was. I knew David from living in Waterport,NY. Went to school with him and knew all his family---so sorry for the lost of this great man. He was a gentle and sweet man---Have some good memories of the time as a kid---RIP David, you are in good hands now--
