Diane Porcelli Obituary
Rochester - Went to God October 3, 2019 after a long struggle with brain cancer to join parents, Alfred and Queenie. Will be missed by sisters, Bonnie (Joe) Evers and Donna; niece, nephews, cousins, family and many friends.
A caring social worker, Ronald McDonald House employee, AAA defensive driving instructor, co-founder of St. Mary's Homeless Initiative and dedicated Red Cross volunteer, who wants to always be a "candle on the water" for people. Diane herself wanted to thank her twin Donna, sister Bonnie and brother-in-law Joe, friends Nancy Nealon and Nancy DeRycke, Dr. Maria Sbenghe and the caring staff at Lipson Cancer Center and Wegman Family Cottages.
Friends may call Tuesday 4-7 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road. Funeral Mass, Wednesday 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 15 St. Mary's Place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House (Westmoreland), St. Mary's Church Homeless Initiative, Red Cross (Disaster Relief), Bethany House (Homeless Shelter) or do a kindness to all who suffer. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

I am very sorry about your loss. I had Diane as a service coordinator and I LIKED her!! She helped me get into a recreation program. If it wasn't for her, I would be sitting home and being bored.

I am so sorry to hear of Diane's passing. A good friend and colleague, I worked and taught with Diane at the Red Cross. I will miss her as will all who knew her, shared her sensitivity and comforted by her caring. I'm out of the country and will not return to Express my concerns in person, but know my thoughts are with the family.
