Douglas Blue Obituary
Rochester: July 3, 2016 at age 93. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Teddy. Survived by his children, Timothy Montgomery Blue, Laurie Blue Scribner (Doug Scribner), Douglas Blue III (Jane Tuttle). Grandchildren, Kelley Blue (Sean McCausland) and Douglas Blue IV (Erin Murphy). Grandchildren's mother, Barbara Goyette Blue. Great granddaughter Harper Grace Murphy Blue and her brother Cameron Murphy. Sister Cornelia Cowles and several nieces and nephews from the families Keenan, Steele, and Cowles. Furry companions Max and Mazee.
He was a proud WWII veteran serving with the horse cavalry/combat infantry. He also was the owner of the real estate firm Douglas Blue Associates.
The family would like to thank Visiting Nurse Hospice Service.

One of a kind - always smiling and certainly set a
wonderful example for those of us who followed
him in the real estate business. He and Teddi were
dear friends of my friend, Rosemary Laragy, so I
was lucky to join them socially to celebrate on occasion. A PERFECT GENTLEMAN! Gone but not forgotten. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I loved Doug. He was always so welcoming to me with that wonderful , friendly smile and manner. Doug was the first Broker I talked with many times when I was first moving to Rochester in 1992. It was always a pleasure to see him at our GRAR events . He supported his profession and always ready to help. I will miss him. God bless. Toni Connors

I had the privilege to manage the Pittsford Little League Douglas Blue team in the early 1980's. Doug provided free ice cream for the boys at Bill Wahl's after every game we won. We won most of our games so we cost Doug a small fortune. The boys I sometimes see around town remember the Douglas Blue team and our ice cream celebrations to this day. Please take comfort in the knowledge that Doug Blue lived a full and productive life and he touched many lives leaving a lasting legacy of generosity for boys he never knew personally.
