Edward Washburn Obituary

Washburn, Edward R.
Clyde: Age 74, of Reed Rd., passed away Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic.
Ed was born May 28, 1933 in Savannah, a son to Oliver F. and Florence Lapp Washburn. He was a veteran of the Army during the Korean Conflict and was the owner and operator of Washburn Logging in Clyde. He was a member of the American Legion, had a great love for poetry, reading, hunting, fishing and generally loved nature.
Ed is survived by his wife Bonnie; son Thomas; daughter Susan Ruth; step-children, Kathy Hurlbutt, and Dan Scharett; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers and sister, Jim Washburn, Betty Leonard, and Charles Washburn; many nieces, nephews; and first wife Ruth Washburn. He was predeceased by his parents, and son Timothy.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday (Apr. 9) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose, where a Funeral Service will be held Thursday (Apr. 10) at 11 am. Burial will be in the Rose Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in his memory.
