My memories and thoughts of Betty:
Betty and her "walking sisters" spent many an evening walking the quarter mile circle near our homes. As we power walked (and sometimes strolled) around the circle we often heard the voices of neighbors and children saying a special hello to "The Ladies". I think back on those strolls where we would discuss so much: our families, pets, health, politics, state of the economy, retirement, hobbies, and the list just goes on and on.
We spent many a night forgetting how many miles we walked as we became wrapped up in a special conversation. We supported each other, and we laughed often.
I have missed those strolls with Betty as her health worsened over the last months. I will never forget the walks or the special moments of undeniable friendship, trust and respect we all found in each other.
I will miss her very much. Most importantly, I will never forget the thoughts and experiences she shared with her "Walking Sisters" and the joy she brought to everyone she met.
I know that Betty has found peace from all her pain. I also know with certainty that she found her place in heaven for very special people.
My sincere sympathy and love go out to her family, friends and Molly.
Susan Fletcher who was one of her "Walking Sisters".
