Evelyn Weider Obituary
Rochester: Died peacefully at the age of 95 on August 15. Memories of her love will be cherished by her 3 children, John R. "Jack" Weider (Kathryn), Linda Waterstredt, and Sister Kathy Weider, SSJ; 10 grandchildren; 24 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Evelyn is predeceased by her beloved husband, John M. Weider who died in 1988 and her daughter, Mary Ellen Ellis Pembrook.
Evelyn will be remembered for her loving and gracious presence to all she met; for her wonderful stories of family members from decades ago; and for her loving, gentle, faithful care of her husband during his 14 year illness. Widowed for 29 years, Evelyn frequently said that she had the best husband anyone could ever have.
Family and friends may call Friday, August 18, 4-7 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 19, 11 AM at the Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 150 French Rd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Hall, 1612 Buffalo Rd. 14624 or to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 150 French Rd. 14618. The family wishes to thank all of her care givers both at St. Ann's Home and her hospice providers from Lifetime Care.
