My condilences to the family. I served with George in the USAF, in Germany, for three years. We had some wonderful times tighter in those days. We have kept in touch over the years. It is with a heavy heart that I learned of his passing.

I just heard of Bob and George's recent passing. I am so very sorry for your loss. I only knew Bob and George from sitting behind them at mass at St. Helen's. I always enjoyed their quick wit. And how they were so proud of their firefighting days. God Bless both of them.

Dear Joan. It is with a heavy heart that we learned of George's passing. Having just seen both of you at my sister Susie's funeral in Mt. Morris, we never expected this to happen to your brother so soon. He looked the picture of health. I have alerted my brothers, Mike and Pat of his passing. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Ellen McCorry Johnson

I truly will miss George. He was a good friend. Our days on the RFD when we worked together at Engine 11 on Mt. Read Blvd; and Emerson Street were fun-filled days. George served our membership well both as the President of our Benevolent Association and as President of our Retirees Association. I always enjoyed his dry sense of humor. George was one of a kind. A great guy with a big heart. Rest in God's love my friend.
