Gerald Norry Obituary
Avon/Melbourne, FL: Passed away peacefully Sat 4/9, at home, at age 86. Born 3/9/25 in Rochester, he was the son of Anna and Phillip Norry and his sisters, Arlene Rauber (deceased) and Esther Schwind. Gerald graduated from Edison Tech and served in the US Army from 1943 to 1945. He was a mechanic all his life, worked with his father at and then later owned Phillip's Garage for 35 years, and then the US Postal Service. He loved to fish, do stained glass, tinker in his garage and spend time with family.
Survived by his loving wife of 61 years and best friend, Vera Norry and devoted father of 3 children: Rick Norry of Orlando, FL, Greg (Peggy) Norry of Avon, NY, and Sue (Jim) Biggs of Greeley, CO; with 6 grandchildren: Scott (Crystal), Alisha, Jenny (Norm), Rob, Alex & Ryan; and 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces/nephews.
Family will receive friends 5-8 PM Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. where a Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Friday. Interment, Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars or a charity of your choice. To share a memory, please visit:
