Gates: Died suddenly October 12, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Carney; daughter, Claudia Maria Carney (Raymond Matta); brother, Dr. Walter Carney; loving nieces and nephews.
Sunday at 4PM his Memorial Service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, Scottsville. Private Interment Mumford Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Church Scottsville, 9 Browns Ave., Scottsville, NY 14546 or St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 175 North St., Caledonia, NY 14423. Jackie Carney (John) and I grew up together in Springfield, MA. While separated for 3 decades, we were lucky to have resumed our friendship and relived our first 20 years! I will miss him and I send my condolences from St. Louis to his family and friends.
