I knew John for the last few years of his life due to ham radio. As a former parole agent here in Missouri and Illinois, his career was of interest to me. I came to enjoy our contacts in emial or with regard to ham radio and when Mike told me John was gone, it was a great disappointment. While I sincerely trust in Jesus, I will miss John's friendly nature and the fact he was a devoted follower of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and, trusted in the Blessed Hope, which we all must trust in and accept. My sincerest hopes for the family. Thank you for being the Believer you were while here, John. Watch over us from Heaven, please. God help us all.

Ginny and I were deeply saddened to learn of John's death. Our memories date back nearly 40 years from the days when John was the friendly person at the Jail that would help us cut through red tape to accomplish our jobs.
I have always been impressed with the devotion to family that John and Ellie have fostered. You have three wonderful sons. After all, the best legacy to the world one leaves is seen his children.
Qualities of love, respect, loyalty and kindness are those that come to mind when thinking of John.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Ellie, Jerry, John and Jason.
