John Manzi Obituary
East Rochester: John Robert Manzi, aka John Robert Mainzi, of East Rochester NY, formerly of Melrose MA. Johnny passed peacefully on March 13, 2017 at age 91. Son of Michael and Andrianella (Santaniello) Manzi of Malden MA. Survived by loving children, Michael J. Manzi, Peter A. Manzi, Ed.D of Rochester, and Joan R. Manzi of East Rochester. Beloved grandchildren Henry J. (Hannah Johnson) Wagner of Cobleskill NY, Bennett A. Wagner of Fairport NY, and Elise A. Manzi of East Rochester NY. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Former husband of Thelma (Sasso). Longtime companion of Flora Spinale of Melrose MA. Predeceased by six siblings, all of the Boston MA area. Johnny was a US Navy Veteran who served on the USS English in the Pacific theater in WWII. Member of East Rochester American Legion Post 1917. Retired machinist from Charlestown Navy Yard.
No prior visitation. Memorial Mass, Saturday April 1, 2017 at 10:00am at St Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd, Penfield NY 14526. Interment will be private.
