John Robert Mott

John Mott Obituary

John R. Mott 83, formerly of Henrietta, NY, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010. He was a graduate of Hilton High School and served in the Navy Seabees in WWII. He retired from DuPont Photo Products in Rochester in 1981. He is a former member of St Luke's and Reformation Lutheran Churches. He served in the North Greece Fire Department, Hemlock Fire Department, and Henrietta Volunteer Ambulance. One of his favorite activities was to volunteer at Camp Joy for Disabled Adults for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Elfriede of Boynton Beach, FL; brother-in-law Harry Staps and sister-in-law Elizabeth Kornmeyer; sons David of Nashville, TN, John (DiAnne) of Mayfield, NY, and Stephen (Kelly Martin) of Ossining, NY; grandchildren Gwen Scibienski (Mike), Kerri Yacono (Derek), Robin Klippel (Aaron), Christopher Mott (Kelly), and Andy Mott. He is also survived by great-granddaughter Ava and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 1:00pm at Maplewood Cemetery, 150 Middle Road, Henrietta, NY 14467. Memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church, 2929 S. Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33435 or to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407.

So sorry to hear of John's passing. Worked with John at Dupont,bowled and always enjoyed working on parties and just a nice gentleman. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family.
