Rochester: August 19, 2015 at age 17. Forever cherished by his parents, Richard and Anita Barley; brothers, Jeremiah, Steve, Emmanuel, Richard, Rashard, Rodderick and Rodney; sisters, Tamara, Quinetta, Terra and J'Quinn; paternal grandmother, Eula B. Smith; maternal grandmother, Velma Buie-Scott; many other relatives and friends.

Jonah all I can say is that I Love You and I miss you. Its been 3 years now and I still remember the pain that went through my body when I was in prison and the chaplain told me that you passed away. My whole life passed before my eyes, I saw you and that big smile and it hurt me knowing that the only way I would see that smile again any time soon would be on a photograph. I'm so sorry that I wasn't home with you and missed those years that you went from a pre-teen to a teenager. deep sigh. It is August 19 @ 2:12 in the morning and I am at work still grieving over losing you. I will be home soon in Rochester and I will come visit you, just me and you. Like old times, because no one ever understood you like I did. Watch over me, today, tomorrow and always.

Hey Jonah im at work thinking about you it aint the same for some reason when all the kids get off the bus in the morning I sometimes look for you its so quite without you here I don't laugh as much and I miss your crazy stories and pictures and videos you use to show me and somebody out for your crush im pretty sure you can everything that's going on just watch over me baby boy...Love you Prince B (jojo)

Belfie, I remember this seriously looking little girl even when you were about 3yrs old. I also Remember your soft sweet smile. I was a next door neighbor. Oh, the sweet memories - you will have them of Jonah, as well. Hold his sweet smile and the many wonderful memories close in your heart and your daily walk. May the Lord forever keep and bless you and your family in this time of sorrow and forever more.

Jonah attended the elementary school where I worked in the Nurse's Office, from Kindergarten on up. He lit up our office every time he entered it. He had smiles and hugs for everyone! I have been praying for you, his family, since I heard the devastating news. No loss is greater than the loss of a child. I feel Jonah was a martyr for his community. His work is done. Sending prayers for your loss and sorrow.

I met Jonah one time.....God sent him to me when I was deeply saddened by the unexpected loss of my sister. He came to my house and filled the atmosphere with his warm spirit, bubbly personality and a whole lot of love and laughter. Jonah will be forever remembered by everyone who was in my house on that day. My one encounter with Jonah reminds me of Hebrew's 13:2 Jonah might have been a stranger coming through the door.....But I will forever remember him as the Angel he was to me, to my family and friends.
