Joseph Tronolone Obituary
Brighton - Joe was 100 years young and passed away on Thursday, March 21. 2019 at home surrounded by family. Born April 14,1918 to Frances and Francis Tronolone in Buffalo, NY.
His wife of 71 years, Lorraine (Ott) predeceased him in 2012. They moved to Spencerport in 1963. Joe was a master tool and die maker and retired from GM in 1982 with 28 years. They became "Snow Birds" residing at Faun Lake (Bliss, NY) and in The Villages in Florida returning to Rochester permanently in 2002.
Joe served in US Marine Corps in WW II from 1943-46 and enjoyed his trip on the Honor Flight in 2013, accompanied by his son, Gary.
Joe was also predeceased by an infant son, Mark (1958); his brother, Eugene and a daughter-in-law, Joan (Gary). He is survived by 5 children, Gary, Linda (Joe Cordaro), Joe Jr. (Debra), Russell (Sandy), and Lisa McNally (Terry Scofield); his grandchildren, Nicholas (Sheila), Michael (Nancy), Matthew (Caitlin) Cordaro, Kristy (Chad) Whiteside, Amy (Aaron) Shafer, Curtis, Paul and Scott (Natalie) Tronolone, Alison, Emily, Abigail McNally, Julia and Martin Scofield. He also has 11 great-grandchildren who will all miss him dearly.
Joe has donated his body to the UofR and his internment will be at the family's convenience. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday March 30, 11 AM, at St. Anne's Church, 1600 Mt Hope Ave. Rochester, NY followed by a Celebration of his life at St John's Meadows, Briarwood Building on Elmwood Ave. at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hope Hall Scholarship Fund, 1612 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY, 14624.
