When I worked in construction for the first time, Kade was the man who was always willing to help me out and always demonstrated kindness. Respectful, sincere, and honorable, Kade is a friend who's presence I will miss forever. Kade was a hard worker and an unbelievably good person. My sincerest condolences go out to all of his family; it is so unfair to have such a great friend, nephew, cousin, brother, grandson, and son taken so early. I will never forget you Kade. You will live on with all of the positive impressions that you have permanently marked my life with.

Hey I am in the army my father was there at you service today and I am sad that I could not make it. I wish that you were not takin from us so early. I wish that the rest of the world could know how much you mean to all brothers that put this uniform on. It does not matter what branch you were in. You put the same dirty boots on as me and I can never repay you for what you have done for this great country. Your family was so blessed to have you in there life. I know you have never met me. But I am the one that is sad never to have met you. I can only say I will pray for your family and your baby boy. God will look over you and your family. Safe travels. God bless you and thank you for what you have done. And If your mom and dad see this thank you for such a blessing you have givin this country.

Kade dude you were one of the few that actually believed in me as a Marine, you pinned on to Corporal, and you know why man? because you were one of the few people that really believed that I was going to be a good Corporal! Not only that man but you also looked out after me after my vehicle got blowned up, you were really concerned that day! I thank you for that. You were an amazing Marine, mentor, and a friend. You will always be remembered! Thank you for everything you brought to my life.

I can't tell you how sorry I am that Kade is no longer with us. Though you might think that I and my family did not know Kade, we had the pleasure of his company and his much needed help one day.

We were moving and my back was out and I was in a lot of pain. Kade was one of two young men from our church's high school youth group that volunteered to help us move. In exchange for pizza & soda, he spent all day not only helping us load our apartment into a truck, he also insisted on coming with us to our new place and unloading it all too!

As we worked together, we talked, and I got a glimpse of the very sweet, good-hearted, hard-working young man that many of you know so well, and he took his place in my heart.

After he joined the military, whenever I thought of our armed forces, Kade's face always came to my mind first as I offered up my prayers.

He will be greatly missed by a great many, including us. We feel very honored to have known him and been so lovingly influenced by his goodness. He truly gained a special place in my heart, simply by being himself.

You can be very proud of Kade, and I'm sure you are. Our hearts and our prayers are with you all.

The O'Brien Family,
Your son was a great man. He taught me alot about living. He never once told me to be careful, he always told me to go all out and give my all cause at the end of the day that is what matters. I will never forget him, and I will carry all the lessons he has taught me through life. You raised a great son. I am very sorry for your loss, he will be with us all everyday in every waking moment. You will be seeing Kade again, especially through Noah. With all my love and support.

To the O’Brien family,

There are no words to describe how truly sorry we are for your loss. We were so privileged to know Kade, and so thankful that he gave us Noah. He was an amazing father, and you could see just how very much he loved his son. We are so saddened that he will not get the chance to see Noah on his first day of school or at his first football game, but we know Kade will always be watching over him, guiding him in everything that he does. Kade will always live on through Noah and Noah will always be reminded of his Daddy. We thought of Kade as part of our family, and he will be missed.

Ed,Deb,Meaghan,Shaun- No words can ever heal what you are going through right now. The world is a much better place for having Kade light it for way too short of a time. All I can say is that every time I saw Kade, he'd give me that smile and a handshake and would always ask how our family was. He was truly an all American hometown boy. I am truly proud to have know him and to call him my friend. Somebody said on facebook that Kade would be guarding the gates of heaven when we all get there. I honestly can't think of a better choice, and I'm looking forward to seeing that infectious smile again!

When Kade graduated from HF-L, he was chosen to receive the very first "Robert C. Howland Service About Self Award" for $1000 in honor of my late husband. When I met Kade that day for the first time, he was so thankful and appreciative for the money and the start it was going to give him towards his Marine career.

I never forgot his name and when I saw the news this week, my heart sank for his family and friends and the loss they all must now endure.

Kade, I want to thank you for not only your outstanding service to our country but also for what could have been as a member of law enforcement.

Welcome Home. We will never forget you.
