Fairport: October 16, 2017. Survived by children, Priscilla (Shane) Richards and Stephen (fiancee Melisa Casano) Crumrine; grandchildren, Ryan and Zoe; sister, Jane (Scott) Powell; former husband, Robert Crumrine; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Crumrine was my Kindergarten teacher at St. Pius X during the 1977-78 school year. When we started the school year she was still Miss Simmons. She invited the entire class to her wedding. My Mom took me and my sister, Kate, (also her student) to her wedding at St. Christopher's in North Chili. I vividly and very fondly remember Mrs. Crumrine acknowledging and hugging each of us during her wedding recessional, before she and Robert headed to their reception in her brown Dodge Dart. She was always a kind, patient and nurturing teacher. She engaged her students and taught lessons with a puppet she called "High Hat". I am fortunate to have known her. My condolences are with her family. She truly was a beautiful person.

I went to 37 School and West High with Kathy. She will be missed. May all the special memories live on inside your heart forever. May you find peace and strength with each passing day.
