Michael will always be remembered, a quiet and gentle soul. He was my neighbor and friend. He never forgot his roots and visited many times. His memory is always here as I look at the house he grew up in everyday. He was a special man, never to be forgotten.

I met Mike about 40 years ago when we rented apartments in adjacent buildings on Meigs St. in Rochester. We developed a friendship and although I moved south, we kept in contact ever since, along with his wife Mary. I will miss our annual and "whenever" phone conversations and his friendship over all these years and distance. To Mary, James, and Bridget, I am so sorry for your loss.

I went to St. Rose high school with Mike. He was a great classmate. We went our separate ways then, and unfortunately didn't have much contact after graduation.
My deepest sympathies and prayers to his family.

When we purchased our home about four years ago we said that our shared driveway could turn out to be either a blessing or a curse. When we met our new next door neighbors Mike and Mary, we immediately knew that we not only were blessed to have them as next door neighbors, but that we hit the great neighbor jackpot.
We will miss our nearly daily driveway conversations about family, life, politics and the mysteries of the universe more than I can say. It is especially sad because the sudden loss of Mike to his family, friends, neighbors, fellow Penn State fans is truly a a mystery that I wish I could speak to my good friend Mike about and have the benefit of his warmth and wisdom.
I didn't know Mike except as a neighbor and neighborlyness is perhaps a lost art...but Mike and Mary mastered the art of being great neighbors and friends...truly caring and concerned...ready to pitch-in and help on a moments notice with a smile and a hearty handshake that was Mikes signature.
Ellen, Erin and I will truly miss Mike as a great friend and great neighbor.
We want to express our condolences to Mary, James and Bridget on their great loss. You can trust that he is at peace and that we will all meet again one day in heaven...assuming I make it there myself, of course. If I do make it there to join Mike, I pray that we share a driveway...because that is what heaven should be...a place of love and friendship where neighbors can share a great chat
All our love and support to the Neary Clan from the Crowley Clan. We will be here to help any time...just a half a driveway away.

My condolences for your lost, I had the pleasure of knowing Mike during our time at Pictometry and came to know him as the competent, caring and compassionate gentlemen we called a friend. Take comfort in knowing there is one more angel above us. God took him in his loving arms and saw he needed rest, his garden must be beautiful, for He only takes the best.

Mike Neary was a true gentleman and had a tremendous influence on my career. He was the first person I called when it came to business matters as well as career advice. He was my mentor and he was my friend. His door was truly open. Mike was a family man and for 10 years we exchanged stories of growing children and what I could expect. We spoke of the family trips he and Mary would take. We spoke of traveling through South Carolina, his time as a manager at Burroughs and his love for Penn State. He enjoyed talking about the early days of Pictometry and his work with Scott H. to get the technology working. We joked about the stacks of papers that cluttered his office and that he was the one who would turn out the lights. He loved technology and how it could improve our lives. When we did meals outside of the office, I no longer accepted a handshake greeting. I just gave him a big hug because he was so deserving.
Mike will be missed by all and has been and will always be loved.

While at Pictometry I had the very distinct pleasure of working with Mike for over 10 enjoyable and exciting years. During that time I witnessed his interactions with coworkers, customers, attorneys, and vendors… Mike was always the consummate gentleman. Those days at Pictometry we all shared a common culture and aligned goals, he was a true team player… Mike was joy to work with; intelligent, competent and hardworking.
I always enjoyed our conversations, he was well versed in so many areas; and Mike's love of his family was as apparent as his generous smile.
May we all pray for God's Grace and Blessing to be bestowed upon Mike, and for God's love and protection to envelope Mary, James, and Bridget.

I met Mike at a Penn State trustees meeting in November 2012, and saw him regularly in meetings after that. Mike helped with letter writing campaigns to address the problems at Penn State and was a thoughtful presence on several FB pages devoted to improving post-scandal Penn State. Mike was a steadfast friend to Penn State and all Penn Staters. We will miss his tenacity, his moral compass, and his kind and gentle presence. Sending love and light to Mike's family.

I met Mike during his many trips to Penn State for the BOT meetings. He was so passionate about our school. He was the last person I chatted with when I left the November meeting. He was so kind. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to his family. Please know that he made a difference. Rest in peace, Mike. We will carry on with our mission.

Mike hired me in 2003 at Pictometry. We shared many recipes, but the one that stands out was his bolognese. He supported me through everything. Even when I lost my job at B+L, he showed up unexpectedly which filled my heart. I will miss him. Rest In Peace my friend.

To Mike's family...I am so sorry for your loss... Mike is usually at the PSU BoT meetings and he had mentioned he would be missing the one last week. He was a wonderful guy! In the short time I knew him we spent a lot of time commiserating at the meetings and over meals. A very kind, inspiring man. He will be missed.
