Myrna Weinstein Obituary

Myrna C. Weinstein (Brener)

Brighton - December 29, 2020. Our family mourns the loss of Myrna Brener Weinstein, age 93, wife of Seymour Weinstein for over 72 years. She passed away after a brief illness, with her family by her side. She is survived by her devoted husband Seymour Weinstein, her 3 children: Rick Weinstein (Donna), Vicki Weinstein-Finnefrock (Tom), Lauri Weinstein Amentola (David); 5 grandchildren, Karin Fossett, Lisa Weinstein (Amir Motameni), David Weinstein (Michal Vardi), Mike Finnefrock (Michelle), and Megan Antonucci (Chris); and 5 great-grandchildren Sophie and Taylor Fossett, Ari and Adira Finnefrock, and Dylan Antonucci. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law.

Myrna was born in Rochester, N.Y., and graduated from Monroe High School and then the University of Rochester with a degree in teaching and mathematics. She was a phenomenal wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, taking care of every need and want of her family, guiding them, always on top of every one of their accomplishments, and willing to listen endlessly. She had a large group of dear friends, playing bridge with the same group of women for over 60 years, hosting large post-New Year's eve parties for over 15 years. She was active in many community activities including Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Hadassah and Temple Sisterhood. She created lifetime memories for four generations with her family at Canandaigua Lake for 65 years. She and Seymour have spent the past 3 years reconnecting with old friends and making new friends while living at The Summit at Brighton.

Funeral Services will be held privately but will be "Live Streamed" on Myrna's memorial page at www.BrightonMC.com on Sunday, January 3rd at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Weinstein-Finnefrock Endowed Fund at Temple Sinai, Hadassah, or charity of your choice.

Dear Mr. Weinstein: I was saddened to hear about the passing of Myrna. I had the privilege of working under Myrna's supervision as receptionist as well as in other facets of the firm; an excellent teacher! She will be sorely missed. Please accept my sincerest sympathy. You and your family are in my good thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Karen Verzillo
