Ralph Donehew Obituary
Silver Spring, Maryland: 93, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2011. Mr. Donehew is predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Frances Donehew and his oldest grandson, Andrew Donehew Muhs, Capt., USMC. He is survived by three daughters Barbara (Douglas) Redmond, Beverly (Kenneth) Mangine and Betty (Gary) Aman. He is also survived by five grandsons (Kenneth Cory, Matthew, Nicholas, Ryan, Todd) and six great grandchildren.
Ralph was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and also lived in Detroit, Michigan. He enlisted in the Navy during World War II. After marrying, he moved to Rochester where he lived for many years and raised 3 daughters. Ralph retired from RG&E in 1979. He spent many years of retirement in New Port Richey, Florida with his wife where he enjoyed golf, baseball games, and their dancing club. His last years were spent at Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, Maryland where he enjoyed sharing stories about his past with others. Donations in his memory can be made to Durand United Church of Christ, 4225 Culver Rd, Roch., NY 14622.
