Waterloo: Robert L. "Bobby" Lutz, Jr., 71, of 1769 North Rd., died Thursday (Oct. 4, 2007) peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Saturday (Oct. 6, 2007) at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo, NY. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 7, 2007) in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Cancer Treatment Center at Sands, West Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
Bobby was born July 11, 1936, in Phelps, the son of Robert T. and Twyla Swetman Lutz. He was a 1950 graduate of Phelps School. He was self-employed for many years in trucking and also worked at times for his uncle, Norm Lutz. He was a former volunteer for the Waterloo Volunteer Fire Dept. He was a country singer with many local bands. He was track champion at many local dirt tracks and won a few races in Canada.
He is survived by his wife, Nerie; two sons, David and Debbie Lutz, of Ashborough, NC and Thomas and Mary Lutz, of Waterloo; one daughter, Diane and Randy Peters, of Waterloo; nine grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; one uncle; two aunts; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
