Robert Rissler Obituary
Honeoye Falls: Bob Rissler passed away suddenly on Monday September 28th in Charles Town, WV at the age of 73. He was visiting his family farm at the time, which was his favorite place on earth. Bob was born in Pittsburgh, PA and served as a U.S. Marine as well as a police officer in D.C. before settling in the Rochester area with a job at Xerox. After his retirement, he was an active member of the Rochester Brooks Gun Club in Honeoye Falls.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie; three stepdaughters, Erika Masters and husband Eric, Ursula Scholz, and Kathy Cohen and husband Bryan; one son, James F. Rissler, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Rissler.
A memorial service will be held at the West Bloomfield Congregational United Church of Christ, 9035 Route 5, West Bloomfield, NY at 2 p.m. on October 16th, 2015. A reception will follow at the Rochester Brooks Gun Club, 962 Honeoye Falls 6 Road, Rush, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Museum in Charles Town, WV.
