Sonja Stenclik Obituary
Webster - Monday, July 12, 2021. Predeceased by her sister-in-law, Patti Pollock. Sonja is survived by her husband, James; son, Scott (Betsy) Stenclik; sister, Jackie (Ed) McCafferty; brother, Stanley (Judy Kocsis) Pollock lll; in- laws, many nieces, nephews and many friends.
Friends may call Friday July 23 from 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday July 24 at 11:00am at St Stanislaus Kostka Church. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers please have masses offered or donations to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Breath of Life Ministry c/o St. Stanislaus Church, or a charity of your choice. Sonja was the vice principal at 42 school where my kids went seemed like every year around Christmas time my son Eric would get into trouble and get suspended and Sonja and I would meet in her office and I would cry and she would comfort me we of course became friends we would send Christmas cards back-and-forth every year and notes to tell how we both were doing and how the kids were doing they gave her Christmas presents that she said she put out every year and thought of us she was such a beautiful and kind lady I miss her very much.sorry for your loss Sonja`s family.

Sunny was one of my Dearest Friends, she was also a mentor to me through one of the most difficult times of my life. She was compassionate, inspiring, and had such strong faith. I am so very grateful she was a part of my life for so many years, from freshman year at Mercy until now. I am so sorry for her family´s loss. She will be sorely missed by so many. Jim, Scott, Jackie and Stan: I am so sorry to hear of Sonja's passing. I remember growing up in the neighborhood and all the kids playing and having fun. Over the years we moved away and when I visited my dad and Sonja was visiting her dad, she would always say hello and have the biggest smile. That never changed from when she was a kid. My thoughts and prayers are with you, remember the good times you shared as a family. An angel has returned to heaven.

I met Sonja about 20 years ago at Wegman's deli where I worked. She has been a friend ever since. She is the most kind & caring person & a classy, beautiful lady always. I talked to her a week before she passed and she said I am the sweetest person and our friendship meant a lot to her. I told her I would never forget our friendship because it means everything to me, too. I am so sorry Jim, Scott & family for your loss. Today, I saw a cardinal on my deck-I believe it was Sonja telling me she is OK. God Bless all of you.
