Steven Kelly Obituary
Rochester - Steven passed peacefully on January 28, 2019 at the age of 60. He joins his beloved mother, Lucille Kelly, father John Kelly, brothers John Kelly & Patrick Kelly, and brother-in-law Tucker Whalen. He is survived by his siblings, Diane Bryant, Nancy Whalen, Richard Kelly, Darlene Kelly (David Ahl), and sister-in-law Elaine Kelly, special niece (and fellow devoted Pittsburgh Steeler fan) Darlene Whalen (Scott Herman); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Steven and his family are forever indebted and grateful to his caregiver and friend Chico, and his longtime caregiver and spiritual pal Jennifer. Our appreciation is also extended to the advocates at The Center for Disability Rights, Linda and her staff at St. John's Day Break Program and the staff at Dependable Medical Transportation. The kindness, concern and devotion will never be forgotten. It allowed Steven to enjoy his life in his final months on his terms.
Steven was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees, Pittsburg Steelers, and Boston Bruins. He rescued and loved his cat Smokey (deceased) and his dog Bandit, who Darlene and David continue to love.
Family and friends are invited to call FRIDAY 10-12 at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South, where services will be held in the Interfaith Chapel at 12. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Steven's name to Verona Street Animal Society, 184 Verona Street, Rochester, NY 14692 so more animals will be saved.
