Thelma Huff Obituary

Huff, Thelma B.
HONEOYE - Thelma B. Huff, age 95 , born Feb. 24, 1911 in the town of Richmond, Ontario County, died Feb. 20, 2007 in Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Huff was the daughter of the late Fred and Maude Miller Bell.
Her survivors include her daughter, SyIvia L. Hawe; son, Jefferson (Eileen) Huff; three grandchildren, Barbara Michele Hawe, Donna M. (Jeremy) Speakes and Elizabeth (Mark) L'Hommedieu; three great-grandchildren, Natalie, Jennifer and Suzanne L'Hommedieu; brother, Gene (Mary Louise) Bell; and brother-in-law, Eugene (Monica) Huff.
She was predeceased by her husband, Furman M. Huff; daughter, Gail Huff; and grandson, Jefferson M. Huff. Mrs. Huff graduated from Canandaigua Academy and SUNY Geneseo. She taught for over 27 years at Shortsville, Victor, and Bloomfield Central schools. She was a member of Sigma PI Sigma, Arethusa Sorority, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Ontario County Teachers Association and Bloomfleld Central Retirees Association.
Mrs. Huff was also an active member and officer at Honeoye United Church of Christ, Honeoye Board of Education, Honeoye Central School Teachers Association and Bloomfield Professional Association.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, May 19, at 3 p.m. at United Church of Christ, 8758 Main St. Honeoye.
Memorial contributions may be made to United Church of Christ, Honeoye N.Y., Allen's Hill United Methodist Church, Bloomfield Central School Scholarship Fund or Lakeview Cemetery Association. Arrangements are by Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Honeoye.
