Velma Serens Obituary
Newark: On July 1, 2008 at age 95. She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Faris) Khalil of Union Springs, and Florence Hess of Naples; daughter-in-law, Carol Russell of Lima; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a niece, Charlene Lawrence of Macedon and a nephew, John Doley of Shortsville. Velma was predeceased by her husbands, Harold Russell in 1956 and Frederick Serens in 1985; a son, Frederick Russell in 2007.
Friends may call Saturday (July 5th) from 10-11 AM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark where Funeral Services will follow at 11 AM. Burial will be in Palmyra Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to the DeMay Living Center Recreations Fund, Driving Park, Newark, New York 14513. Remembrances may be sent to
