Will was one of my favorite people, and I don't have a lot of those. Will said what he meant and meant what he said. He was generous in so many ways. I miss him, but I am sure he is enjoying playing a round of golf at St. Andrews.
God bless Will.

Bill was an inspiration to me when I briefly worked for him at B&L as a secretary before going to SUNY Fredonia and Rutgers Law. He was a very good boss and helped me decide to be a business major and provided a wonderful example of how to treat staff when I became a lawyer. He'll be missed. Kathleen Conolly Rupinski

Dear Marion and family,
We join you in mourning the loss of a great man, husband, father, grandfather and golfer. Our hearts are heavy, but we find joy in knowing he is now playing the heavenly fairways with a special little caddy by his side.

Mr. Wilmot, I will miss you. I've already been missing you, and you were never far from my thoughts. Your kindness and encouragement really made a difference to me, and I know it did to so many others.
Marion, you have been a wonderful light to us at St. Michaels. I only hope that we can become more of a light and support for you as you go through the coming months and years. Please lean on us, and continue coming to St. Michaels.
For the family- your Dad/Grandpa made a difference to many of us, and his humor and frankness were my favorite things about him, not to mention his generosity and ability to encourage others to think big. He'll be better able to look out after us from his cloud in heaven, and there's no doubt in my mind that he'll start to send signs that he's up there causing just a wee bit of trouble. ;-) God bless you all, see you on Saturday. xoxoxox

Marion, So sorry to hear about Bill. He was one of the good guys. I enjoyed working for him, playing golf with him and talking about corvettes. Even now, every time I see a 62', I think of your birthday present to him.

Marion and Family:
I'm so sad to learn of this news and so sorry for your loss. Bill was such a kind and generous man. I will always remember him taking me, my brother, and neighbor Marty to the Ken Kaiser charity dinners to meet many of our baseball idols - the first time I ever wore a tie! And between perfecting our ice skating on the backyard ice rink, our golf chipping game, or our basketball jump shot, he was such a positive influence on all the kids on Pelham. My thoughts are with you at this time.

My deepest sympathy to the Wilmot family for your loss. I'm looking at Bills sunfish from the other side of the lake . It brings back many memories of Polish regattas gone by. He will be missed.

Another sad loss for our community. Bill was dedicated to fighting cancer through research even before he had to face the disease himself. I will always remember him for his quick humor and generosity. I'm sure the angels will be laughing now that Bill has joined their midst. My thoughts are with Marion and his family.
