Sandra "Sandy" Jo Horning
September 15, 1947 - September 14, 2023
Sandra "Sandy" Jo Horning was born Sept. 15, 1947, in Seattle Washington, to Mildred Lee and Orville Swaim. She passed away peacefully at Sunnyside Memory Care on the morning of September 14, the day before her 76th birthday. Sandy was married to David H. Horning for 56 years. They made wonderful memories while raising their adventurous son, David. They loved to travel - always meeting new friends everywhere they went. Sandy was often seen walking with her miniature schnauzer dogs. Sandy was a fan of drives to the coast, ice cream, any music she could sing along to and holding Dave's hand. She loved walks on the beach, collecting antiques, and visiting garage sales with her grandkids. She was passionate about helping others and spent her last working years as a Visiting Angel caring for people who needed support or a helping hand. She was loved by all she met and will be forever remembered for her happy countenance, continuous smile, and contagious giggle. Sandy will be greatly missed by her family, husband David H. Horning, son David R. Horning, grandchildren Grayson, Whitman, Ellis & Kennedy; daughter-in-law Holly Freres, sister Theresa Dicicco and niece Michelle Hall. A private family celebration of life is being planned for later this fall.
