Brandon Sandmann Obituary

Brandon Michael Sandmann

Brandon Michael Sandmann, 38, of Valley View, TX passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.

He was born on December 30, 1982 in Marysville, KS to Robert (Bob) and Deb Sandmann. He attended grade school in Beattie, KS. He spent the majority of his life helping on the family farm and spent time in high school playing the sport he loved, football. He graduated from Marysville High School in 2001. He went on to attend Manhattan Area Technical College where he graduated as a lineman in 2002. He worked as a contractor at Croft Electric from 2003 to 2007. In 2007, he moved to Texas where he began his career with CoServ Electric Co-Op. During his time there, he worked his way up to supervisor which was his current position. He was known for his dedication, leadership and hard work ethic. He helped restore power during many hurricanes and natural disasters, most recently hurricane Ida in Louisiana. His line brothers at CoServ meant the world to him and he considered them family.

He met his wife Christina Speis in 2003 in St. Louis, MO. She traveled to Texas with him as he started his career with CoServ. The couple married September 3, 2011 and started their lives together. They resided in Krum, TX for 9 years and then recently moved to Valley View, TX. In 2016 they welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Megan Marie Sandmann, who became the light of his life. They enjoyed jeeping, camping, the mountains of Colorado, traveling, and spending time with their family and friends. He was a loving son, brother, husband, and father. His legacy will always be remembered through his smile and little chuckle. He always put his family first and had a huge heart with helping others.

Brandon is survived by his wife, Christina Sandmann (Speis) of Valley View; daughter, Megan Marie Sandmann; his parents, Robert (Bob) and Deb Sandmann of Marysville, KS; brother, Eric Sandmann and wife Amanda of Sanger; grandmother, Shirley Evans of Topeka, KS; mother-in-law, Patricia Speis of O'Fallon, MO; brother-in-law, Kevin (Gail) Speis, of St. Peter's, MO; sister-in-law Gayle (Patrick) Whitehead of Wentzville, MO and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Irene Sandmann; grandfather, Carroll Slupianek; father-in-law Larry Speis; sister-in-law Diane Lewis and his beloved dog of many years, Hershey.

Pallbearers include Eric Sandmann, Cramer Basham, Joe Temple, Adam Slupianek, Perry Ancell, Aubrey Turner, Kevin Speis and Patrick Whitehead.

Honorary pallbearers include Michael Speis, Jake Slupianek and all the CoServ lineman.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas from 5 PM to 7 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 AM, Tuesday at The Christian Center Assembly of God Church in Krum, Texas.

Getting to have Brandon and Christina as neighbors for 10 plus years was a complete blessing. We lost touch after we moved but still seemed to run into each other every now and then. They truly are amazing people! Brandon will forever be missed. Sending hugs from the Lynn´s.
