Donald Meisinger Obituary

Donald R. Meisinger returned to God's hands on January 26, 2025, at age 75. Don passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at his home in Highland Village, Texas, having fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. Don was enthusiastic, fun-loving, passionate, and inventive. He could talk to anyone, truly cared about people, believed in second chances, and was always willing to lend an ear. His personality endeared him to his family and friends, and those he met during his lifelong career in automotive equipment sales, which began in western Montana and led him to north Texas in the mid-seventies. Don is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marjorie "Maggie" Meisinger; daughters Tamara (Jay) and Gentry; bonus children Dana, Doug (Dawn), and Danielle (Michael); 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; siblings Eugene, Yvonne (Dan), Richard, Charles and Dennis (Natalie); and many other beloved family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Jeanette Therene and Charles J Meisinger; his sister JoAnn (surviving spouse, Cecil); and former wife Janet, mother of his daughters. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Flower Mound Family Funeral Home, 3550 Firewheel Dr, Flower Mound, TX 75208. Immediately following, a celebration of Don's life will be held at The Robert & Lee DuVall Center, 948 Highland Village Rd, Highland Village, TX 75077. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, woundedwarriorproject.org

Don was a great man and I welded for him around 2002 at Enviroquip. Don told me I welded with artistic ability and he tried to help me even though I was struggling with addiction at the time. I will always appreciate Don, he was really a great caring person and I wish I could have seen him in sobriety and thanked him however I will tell him myself when we meet again and I send my deepest love respect and prayers to Don's family.

Our prayers are with Meggie and Family. Don was a great guy. I knew him back in Montana and reconnected here in Texas. Although I did not get to see him often he will be missed.

Although Don & I were not best friends while in high school, we got along ok and had an opportunity to reconnect years later thru Facebook. It was great visiting on the phone and thru social media these past couple of years, Maggie, you and your family are in our prayers. Rex & Marion Sands
