To Helene's family,

Helene's and my friendship dates back to 1948 when we were at the University of Texas in Austin, and became sorority sisters in AEEPhi. She was one of the few friends left who attended our wedding in Corsicana over 66 years ago! We loved Helene, and I she loved us. Our last visit was when she and one of you came to a TJHS meeting in Longview, 20 miles from where we live in Marshall, TX. After the meeting, Helene and her daughter came to see us, and we had such fun together...I treasure that visit and treasure the friendship that Louis Helene, and I shared. Please accept our deepest, heartfelt sympathy in your loss. We feel it is our loss as well.
With love,
Audrey and Louis Kariel

So sorry to hear of this loss. My husband and I grew up with Helene as she lived only three or four blocks from my house. She was a delightful person, very sharp and full of fun. We will miss her very much, and extend our condolences to her family.
