Jimmy Owens Rogers

Jimmy Owen Rogers, 86, of Denton, died Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Medical City Hospital in Denton.

Mr. Rogers was born on August 12, 1935 in Little Elm Texas to Joseph Ed and Lou Ellen (Cantrell) Rogers. He was married to Martha Jean Pennington on June 29, 1957 in Denton Texas. He was a Christian and retired from the University of North Texas as a manager in Central Receiving and Office Supply.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Jean Rogers of Denton; daughter, Regina Rogers Lawrence and husband Jim of Denton; son, Keith Rogers and (Susan Rochester) of Aubrey; Chris Tomblin (Husband of Tiffany Tomblin) grandchildren, Brandon Owen Rogers (Pam); great-grandchildren, Vincent Evan Tomblin, Kaelyn Rogers, Keith Levi Rogers. He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Grabowsky; brother, Buddy Rogers; granddaughter, Tiffany Joyce Tomblin.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton.

Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park and Cemetery in Denton.
