Mary Ellen has been a life-long friend of our family. I have loved her my entire life, and I always knew she loved me. She was my first piano teacher. I consider it an absolute blessing of God, that I had the privilege and honor of knowing her on this side of heaven.
Praying comfort for all her family and friends during this time.

Mary Ellen was one of the sweetest women I knew. I now live in Austin and cannot drive so I cannot attend the service. Love to all of you!

What a wonderful .. beautiful obituary about a wonderful ..beautiful woman!
I considered Mary Ellen ( and her children) family. Lived across the street from them for many years and saw her most every day.
She was always so interested in every thing going on in my life...encouraging..
supportive.
I am an interior designer, and one time
while she was on an extended stay with her son and his family, I was hired by her to update her home! We painted.. did new flooring.. new window coverings, new furniture and furniture
arrangements. She didn´t want to choose anything.. she just wanted me to do it. It was so much fun and ( thank the Lord) she loved everything when she got home! She trusted me that much!
I know she touched the lives of so many children when she was a teacher.
Before they moved to Pennsylvania, I got to witness a beautiful lady come up to Mary Ellen and tell her that she became a teacher herself because of Mary Ellen. She said she loved to go to school because Mary Ellen made it so much fun and so interesting!
What a wonderful tribute!
I will miss her so very much!

I´m so sorry to hear of Mary Ellen´s passing. I count her as one of my closest and dearest friends and know she´ll be missed by many. She was loving, generous and so interested in knowing about the world and the people in it! I´m thinking of her kids and grandkids at this time.
