Dear Mark, Carol, Jimmie and Randy;
It has been a long time since I have been in touch with you, Mark, or any member of your family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. He was truly a great man. I would really appreciate it if Mark could get in touch with me. In any case, I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to the entire Tye family.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the entire Tye family. Ray was more than a business associate. Ray was one of a few people who truly inspired me to be more involved with my local community, my fellow man, Israel,and especially my employees. Ray's absence marks the end of an era in the Liquor industry.

I had always felt honored to have known Ray Tye, serving his family most Sundays at Anthony's Pier 4 in the 60's. During the 70's our paths crossed many times in the wine industry. My prayers are with all of you.

March 12, 2010

This man is an inspiration. We can only hope to live like he did. Condolences to his family.

March 12, 2010

Boris Avery, my mother-in-law's father, worked for Mr. Tye in the 1950's. Boris was one of the older liquor salesmen. Mr. Tye went out of his way to treat Boris with respect, calling him "Mr. Avery" and always making him feel welcome and appreciated. My mother-in-law said that Boris loved and respected Mr. Tye, and often spoke of him with heartfelt warmth, saying, "Mr. Tye was a real gentleman."

On behalf of Ann Avery Epstein, we extend our deepest condolences to the Tye family.

To Mr. Tye's Family,
I only met Ray once at the wake for my brother-in-law Ken Hilse who worked for him for many years. In a very private way, I know of his generosity and the way he treated people, and I will will never forget how he touched our family. He is an example of how people should treat people and if only half the world would be like Ray this would be the most amazing world to live in, a world of Love and Peace !

March 12, 2010

Carol, Brandi, Mark, and Jimmie,
We were close to Ray before you made an appearance and had the pleasure of a warm association for many years. We extend our deepest sympathy at the loss of a one of a kind human being.

I'll never forget the kindess Mr Tye extended to my husband and myself when we first purchased our liquor store. We were at a wine tasting in Boston and he knew the previous owners. I was impressed that he was aware of our transaction as it is not a very large store. He truly was a gentleman and a great businessman. His charitable works speak for themselves. God speed Mr Tye .
