Alan Densmore Obituary

Densmore, Alan

Alan Densmore, 45, passed away on April 22, 2021 in Denver, Colorado after a long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Born in Dallas on March 20, 1976 to Bill and Leslie Densmore, Alan was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. We celebrate his overwhelming love, courage, concern for others, humor, creativity, exuberance, and insistence for joy in daily life. Since Alan's passing, hundreds of people across the country and the world have expressed their love for Alan and described their life-changing relationships with him. Alan's special power was his ability to show up - every single day - for every single one of us in a way that was completely present and authentic. Alan lived in the moment - his life full of love, celebration, music, piano, wonder, beauty, and harmony with the world. One of Alan's lifelong friends wrote, "Memories flood - but mostly I think how achingly, impossibly, beautifully lucky we all were."
Alan graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 1994 and from The University of Texas at Austin Plan II Honors Program in 1998. Alan founded Centerforward Web Services, LLC in 1999, enabling him to maintain his business while traveling the world seeking friends and adventures. In 2011, Alan found his home in Denver - the perfect place for his love of nature; swimming, hiking, and camping with his friends.
Alan's family is deeply indebted to the remarkable kindness and compassion provided to Alan by Dr. Jonathan Gutman and the many doctors, nurses, and support staff at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Alan is survived by his husband Sammy Cordova, his mother Leslie, niece Taylor, and loving family and friends. Alan is pre-deceased by his father, Bill and brother, Andrew with whom he shared his strength and lovingly supported through the same illness that took them both. A Celebration of Life will be held in Dallas on June 7. word In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to his niece Taylor's college fund, (payable to my529, PO Box 145100, Salt Lake City, UT 84114-5100; include Taylor Densmore 201404444) or to the charity of your choice.
