October 25, 1930, - August 24, 2021
Annetta "Tootie" (Franke) Henry joined her beloved husband in heaven on August 24, 2021. She was 90.
Tootie was born on October 25, 1930, in Boswell, Pa., to Sara (Phillips) and Joseph Franke. She graduated from Boswell High School in 1948. On April 7, 1950, Tootie crossed the state line in Cumberland, Md. to marry her hometown sweetheart, Robert Henry, who briefly went AWOL from the Air Force to get hitched.
Bob was transferred to Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado later that year. Bob and Tootie made their home in Thornton and had two sons, Randy and Mark.
Tootie had a long career in banking, working at North Valley Bank from its opening in 1963 until the early 1980s. In their younger years, Tootie and Bob were very social, had lots of friends and enjoyed hosting parties, bowling and traveling. They belonged to the VFW and Elks.
Tootie loved her Denver Broncos, and her Pennsylvania and Italian roots. She enjoyed jewelry and made an amazing spaghetti sauce that no one could compete with. She especially loved her grandkids and they loved her right back. There was no better place than Grandma and Grandpa's house. That mutual love continued with her great-grandchildren who adored her.
She was feisty and stubborn and super smart until the end.
Tootie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob; brothers and sisters, William Franke, Joan Franke Sheftic, Rosalie Franke Miller, and Donald J. Franke; and daughter-in-law Rita Henry.
She is survived by her sister, Andrea L. Franke Policicchio; sons Randall (Patti) and Mark (Leah Ann); grandsons Travis (Erin), Andrew (Kayley) and Eric; granddaughters Carrie, Noel (Jimmy), Sara and Lyndsay; great-grandchildren Lauren, Joel, Chelsey, Jordyn, Emerson, Alexander, Brooks, Nicholas and Adam; and many nephews, nieces and good friends. Services will be held Sept. 20, at 2 pm at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area A. A gathering of friends and family will be held following at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Northglenn Elks Lodge, 10969 Irma Dr, Northglenn.
Please consider donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
