In these times of questionable judicial ethics, I fondly recall the judges I've advocated in front of, like Anthony Vollack. Ethics were part of his very fabric.

I was impressed as a teenager in Arvada when Mr. Vollack shook my hand and handed me one of his pamphlets when he was campaining door to door in 1968.

Chief Justice Anthony Vollack was an outstanding jurist and human being. He had a wonderful sense of humor and kept any ego in check. He swore me into the Colorado Bar at his chambers in the Colorado Supreme Court, and I will always remember him as a person who worked hard, enjoyed life, and a good laugh. I was lucky to know him.
My condolences and best wishes to his family and friends.

Correction on the previous condolence...it is 30 years experience. He has been an inspiration to me and others in the juvenile and adult corrections.

Chief Justice Vollack was One of a Kind! He is the only Judicial Officer who acknowledged my 30 years of service at Denver Juvenile Court. I returned from lunch one day and the secretary asked if I was in trouble;-) I immediately returned his call and he said "Congratulations for a job well done" It was the Best Recognition and I'm truly blessed to have had the support of such a great person. He met with Senator Sally Hopper and me to discuss the federally funded substance abuse treatment program (TASC) at probation. He lent his support for the program and was delighted to know that it was expanding to Adams, Arapahoe and Jefferson county juvenile probation.

Judge Vollack was a gentle soul and a pleasure to work with. He has been missed at JAG and will always be missed. May his love of life and humor embrace all of us who knew and enjoyed him.

I had my first hearing in Court with Judge Vollack in 1983. I appealed, but the Judge was affirmed. I recall him as one if the calmest jurists I ever worked with. All prayers and blessings to your family.

Anthony is the most famous and influential member of our Kenney-Vollack family. My favorite memory was when I was in 6th grade and I invited him to come and speak to my class in 1969. As busy as he was, he came! Everyone in my little school in Thornton, CO was so impressed. This characteristic was true throughout his life of service to Coloradans: he cared. He wanted the best for the citizens of this state. We were all lucky to have him, his knowledge, his work ethic, and his commitment. I hope his wife and children know how much we all appreciated his service. Sincerely, Ellen Kenney
