Arthur Vigil Obituary

Arthur (Art) Alejandro Vigil returned to his Master on November 28, 2021 after spending time at home with his family and under Abode Hospice/Comfort Care. Arthur was born July 12, 1944, Married on June 8, 1963, Ordained as a Permanent Deacon for the Catholic Church on 4/15/1978, Retired from the US Mint in 1993, He then got his Real Estate Brokers License and spent his time in Ministry and helping with the family business.
Arthur is survived by his spouse of 58 years, Celia Vigil, and their five sons,
Arthur K Vigil (Monica), Andrew M Vigil (Maria), Christopher J Vigil (Jill), Leofredo A Vigil (Missy) and Juan C Vigil. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was also blessed to be part of a beautiful extended family who loved him dearly.
Art was preceded in death by his father, Leofredo Vigil and his mother, Ramoncita Mares. He also leaves behind his siblings, Anecito Vigil (JoAnn), Idene Manzanares (Joe/deceased), Esperansa Smith (Milton/deceased), Orlando Vigil, Dufredo Vigil (Arlene) and Tom Vigil.
Services are as follows: Sunday, December 5 - 2:00 pm Viewing; 3:00 Vigil and Office of the Dead to include the Rosary. Location: Romero Funeral Home, 1805 S. Sheridan, Denver, Colorado. All are welcome to attend.
Mass of Christian Burial - Monday, December 6 - 10:00 AM All Saints Catholic Church, 2559 South Federal Blvd, Denver, Colorado. Archbishop Samuel Aquila, Celebrant. Reception to follow in the parish hall. He will be laid to rest at La Florida Cemetery in Antonito, Colorado on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Parkinson's Association of the Rockies, https://parkinsonrockies.org (303) 830-1839.
