I grew up down the street from Barry, I love that kid! He came from a very loving and caring family, one that I have great admiration for. For the family's sake, I hope that it is true that it's always darkest before the dawn and that new and brighter days are not far off for you.

My sincere condolences to the Smith Family. We all grew up together on Brentwood Street. I remember many after school & weekend football games, snowball fights and back lot baseball games. Many memories of good times spent with friends and family growing up in Lakewood.

I am truly shocked and saddened to hear about Barry’s passing. Barry was a great friend growing up. I have very found memories from Elementary, Junior High and our High school days, as well as hanging out after school, sleep-overs and working together at Lakewood Country Club. I haven’t seen Barry and Nickie in many years but I knew Barry as one of the hardest working, detailed, loyal and kindest guys I have ever known. He will be sincerely missed. My heart and prayers go out to Nickie, Adriana and Barry’s family.
