Hack, Fran and Stephan,
Over this past week, I have found myself remembering the times when I was close to Kem. My first memory of being close to him was when we went to Estes Park and he couldn't have been three or four years old. Back then I could throw a baseball and I did just that in the arcade. I knocked all the bottles off of the table and Kem got to pick out a giant teddy bear. I can still see the look on his face. He was the ring bearer at Judy's and my wedding. I loved to tease him as he was growing up, starting with threatening him if he dropped the ring. Of course, he paid me back by teasing my children the same way I teased him. I think I threw him at least 1,000 passes in your side yard and I am proud to say I spent hours on the phone with him helping him through Finance when he was at Regis College. Of late, I would see him at the Golden Rec Center playing basketball with the 25 year olds.
When Kem grew into manhood, we saw a kind, gentle, accepting of others man who loved to laugh and talk sports. He was spiritual in a quiet way. He gave back to others especially through his grandparents, parents and his children. He showed his love by his closeness to his family.
I know I am not the only one who suffered this loss, for Kem had a lot of friends and family members who cared deeply about him, but I know I will miss him and Judy and I pray on behalf of Hack, Fran and his children that he is wrapped in the cloak of the Blessed Mother and taken to our Lord.
You are in our prayers,
Uncle Clay and Aunt Judy
