Schafer, Delores Antoinette
Dee, 70, passed away on March 18, 2008 in Lakewood. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Schafer. She is survived by her five sons, Mike, Ken, Nick, Steve, Rod and their spouses; her brother, George Di Ciero; ten grandchildren, Lee, Amber, Rob, Bryan, Jonathan, Mitchell, Christina, Reanna, Sarah, and Julia; her aunts Rose Guida and Barbara Bruno; her in-laws; many nephews and nieces, and other family members.
Dee was born to Dominic and Christina Di Ciero on March 25, 1937 in Denver. She attended Boulevard Elementary, Lake Junior High, and graduated from North High School.
Dee was an outstanding mother and grandmother whose first priority and love was her family. She worked as a Senior Account Executive for the Sentinel & Transcript Newspapers and later for Mile High News where she was still working at the time of her passing. She received numerous recognitions for her accomplishments.
Dee's love was her family and she cherished having family get-togethers, great holiday dinners, and watching her grandchildren grow. Her family deeply loved and appreciated her.
Dee was well known for her great personality and kindness, and was blessed with many friends. She will be forever loved and missed.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1100 Upham Street, Lakewood.
